Level 1 — Criminal Record Check (CRC)
Basic & Convictions Only
Criminal Records Check (CRC) is a search of the RCMP databases and is usually required for employment purposes, retail industry, financial institutions, immigration purposes, travel or municipal and by- law licences.
It is not intended for individuals seeking employment or a volunteer position working with children or vulnerable persons.
Level 2 — Criminal Record & Judicial Matter Check (CRJMC)
That includes CRC as well as any outstanding charges, probations
The Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) is intended for applicants who are seeking employment or volunteer positions with agencies who require a criminal record check. Generally Required for Board of Directors, IT personnel and construction staff at daycares, schools, hospitals and long-term care facilities.
The agency has determined that a search of sex offenders with a record suspension is NOT required (e.g. border crossing or visa) therefore this check is NOT intended for applicants who are seeking volunteer and/or employment with vulnerable persons.
Please Note:
Based on the results of your screening, you may be required to submit fingerprints to verify your identity.
Additional fees may apply for fingerprint submission services.
If fingerprints are requested and are not completed, the record check will be considered incomplete, and fees may not be refundable.
Youth Applicants (Ages 12–17)
Individuals between the ages of 12 and 17 are only permitted to apply for police record checks for government agencies, including:
